Trying to do too many things at once

Ok I almost had the day from hell yesterday, but the major disaster was averted well sort of – it did take 4 or so hours but it could have been a lot worse. Juggling too many things at once – or multi tasking was the reason I manage to delete 50gig worth of data from my external hard drive – and for all the smart asses no I didn’t have a back up.

I wrote a blog about multi tasking earlier in the year and I think I need to read it again and so should you! Click here to check it out. Trying to multi task (eating breakfast, transferring files, reading a book and checking the NFL scores) meant that I carelessly deleted stuff I really needed, and not the the recycle bin – I do things properly (it was too big for the recycle bin therefore instant delete!!! Although it probably did prompt me) .

So the moral of the story is as it stated in Multi tasking or major distraction, if something is really important it needs your undivided attention – or you may find yourself in a similiar situation and you may not be able to undo the damage.
